Hi Phillipa,

It's good to see you:)

Yes- i wasted hours searching online, all afternoon, reading comparitive studies with the two meds and even found a site with a conversion chart. It gave guidelines that differed by 30mg. Multiply that by the amount of oxycontin that i take daily and it's a confusing mess to try to convert it. Then there are notes about cross-tolerance, etc, also math is not a strong point here. however do you do decide how much to take?

It's way more difficult than i could ever imagine, Phillipa. Nobody wants to help me with this and i don't really know no matter how i think - i'm scared bc i don't feel adult most of the time and it's too scary. stuck again.

in the morning i will wake up in pain and decide then i guess. common sense says that if i take 80mg oxycontin three x a day and if that's stronger than the morphine (kadian or avinza) than i should at least take equal the amount of morphine- like at least 80mg of that three x a day. i have 100mg caps so maybe i will just take that instead of oxycontin and see how i feel.
i wish i didn't have to go to work tomorrow though.

Thank you so much for writing, Phillipa. it feels a lot less lonely.
love,
kerria
