Do you think dopamine could be the issue here? As in depleted dopamine or a slowed firing rate due to the long-term seroxat?
I think that was my problem when I came off an SSRI and later switched to a similar tricyclic (imipramine). The tricyclic didn't seem to address the dopamine issue and somehow made the depression more profound through some mechanism (anticholinergic maybe?).
When I phased out the tricyclic and started taking a dopaminergic supplement instead I started on the road to remission within 5 days and, a few weeks on, continue to improve.
Like you, I slept WAY too much on the tricyclic and yet felt constantly tired. Possibly a dopamine issue too.
