It sounds like you need some xanax or ativan until you get your situation worked out!!!
The only thing that came to mind when I read your post is that maybe you should try switching doctors? (doesn't seem like the natural thing to do w/this doctor knowing your med history and all-but it was the only strong thought I had).
But you didn't say why you quit taking Effexor. ?
