maybe, maybe not. the thing is, there really isn't a reason anyone can think of for why some people find one ssri work better for them than other ssris, even though they do the same accross a population. personally, the only ssris that i found to do anything different was sertraline, which made me feel awful; when i switch to citalopram the citalopram worked as well as it ever did right away. My guess is that if its doing *something, even if its bad, then the next one might work sooner. 50mg is a starting dose for sertraline, so you should be able to go right to that w/o any tapering.
