Effectiveness Timeframe - Lexapro to Zoloft

Posted by chris87 on April 2, 2009, at 17:12:35

When you switch an SSRI (in my case, Lexapro to Zoloft) do you still have to wait the normal 4-6 week timeframe to feel the effects? Would the onset be faster since the old SSRI is still in your system? Should I expect discomfort if I am going from 20mg Lexapro to 50mg Zoloft (which my pdoc tells me is the equivalent to 10mg Lexapro)?
