That explains why lose dose Risperdal helps break up excessive REM during night time sleep, thus achieving deep sleep states for treating my Narcolepsy during the day. Xyrem (GHB) is approved to do just this, however there are strict requirements that I do not meet to take that drug. I am going to take my next day dose of Concerta (being about 12:00am) and I took my 1 mg Risperdal. And go to sleep. I should be asleep within 10 minutes. I should wake about 6-7am feeling refreshed. Thats when I take my Strattera, Lamictal, Depakote, Zoloft, and a bit of Provigil (all these are good meds even and seem to work in harmony with my system as I am DX with both Aspergers and Narcolepsy. At 12 pm I will take a second dose of Concerta 36/mg ER. If this further improves daytime sleepiness without desires to take more stimulants because of being tired for no reason except for the Narcolepsy. I will pass this finding to the doctor. I have pretty good experience with the stimulants. Emsam was a good drug, however, being an MAOI, it will not work for a few of the above meds. I do go in for neuropsych testing Jan 7th. I wonder if my struggles are leaning more toward Narcolepsy than AS. Thanks Jake
