I take Valium with tianeptine and have had no problems. At the worst, it might seem to reduce the effectiveness of Valium because in the beginning of treatment tianeptine can be stimulating in some individuals. For me it did cause some stimulation/jitters, but after a while I was okay as my body adjusted.

Tianeptine isn't supposed to be a sedating or stimulating antidepressant, but I've found personally that it seems to have a slight stimulant effect in the beginning which quickly fades away with ongoing treatment and seems to help my anxiety.

I was able to reduce my dosage of Valium after being on tianeptine long-term.

I hope this helps. :-)

Good luck!
Paul
