What I meant by the month long cleaning out is that it takes that long for prozac to be mostly gone from you system. It has a half life of about 7 days, which means half of your last dose is still there 7 days later. Half of that is still there after 14 days. It takes a long time for it to be completely gone. Unlike other SSRIs which are pretty much gone in 4 to 5 days. During the 3 month period after stopping prozac I had numerous neuromuscular things like twitching fingers and eyelids. I think the first half of the time it was from withdrawals, and the second half of the time, after prozac was completely washed out, it was from my nervous system readjusting to its new environment.
