I went off Prozac cold turkey November of last year because I listened to everyone telling me I didn't need an AD. As a result I fell into that suicidal depression in December. I tried to take the Prozac again during December after realizing my mistake but I became extremely nauseated. Prozac had never made me nauseas before, I couldn't understand why. By January I had to come clean and admit what I did to my PSY GUY and he put me on Lexapro.
Prozac was great. I was in the deepest of the dark places when I was first prescribed it. It took a month to work, but let me tell you, when it kicked in, it was like a miracle. It felt like the Dark clouds parted and the sun came streaming in. The only bothersome side effect I had from it was night sweats, but I figured out that if I didn't eat past 5 PM I would not get the night sweats. Wierd.
I absolutely loved it when it worked.
By the way, I laughed so hard when I read your description of the "Lexapro Laziness" because you described it so accurately!
Good Luck!
