> I went to pick up my prescriptions today. My insurance has capped. I no longer get prescription drug help until january 1st of 2008. I am on 200mg of lamictal and 4mg of risperdal. For 30 pills of lamictal it costs $175.72 which isn't too bad. The risperdal for 30 pills is $319.00 I am wanting to know if anyone knows about some kind of medication whether it be a mood stabilizer or something to control mania that is not expensive? I thought about lithium but I am scared to take it. Are benzodiazepines a good choice for mania?

> twinchThat situation is beyond disgraceful, thank god I live in Australia. I just paid $30.40 for 60 tabs of geodon. Which didn't agree with me but I picked up 100 2mg tabs of clonazepam for $25AUD, and 25 5mg tabs of nitrazepam for $11.90AUD. My Zoloft costs $30.70AUD for a months supply. We don't have ANY of this insurance crap at all. You just get a script from your doc or pdoc go to the chemist and wait for about 5mins for your script to be filled and off you go. End of story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How has the American medical system let this happen?? I just can't fathom it, it's horrifying for people in need. If you're on social security benefits here you pay about $4.90AUD for ANY script regardless of how much it costs. One very freaked out cactus!!!!!!!!
