Been on Both Ativan and Klonopin over a period of 4 years for anxiety. Klonopin made me depressed, very, i thought i was just in zone land. Ativan i went up to 6mg and still it didnt help.
Xanax (Alprazolam) is very helpful, but sometimes it makes me mellowed out. When i was on Clonazepam i was had an additude, 1mg made me mean, which this is so irronic that benzo's can change you personality. But alprazolam is ok. I call it the "Peace" medication. When i cannot calm down it helps.
My doctor wanted me to try Phenobarbital to wean off, i said "no". I have heard many times phenobarbital is very depressing.
Im ok with it right now.
