Some people metabolize certain drugs faster than others. Xanax is metabolized by the liver enzyme CYP3A4. Maybe your CYP3A4 is just naturally overactive and chewing up the xanax faster than normal. Just a wild thought.
You could try multiple dosing, like maybe 4 to 6 times per day, or whatever. Just do whatever schedule fits you.
You could also try grapefruit juice with it. Grapefruit juice is an inhibitor of CYP3A4. Drink a glass of grapefruit juice and see if the xanax lasts longer.
I'm glad you have found something that you like fairly well. Probably all that is needed is to finetune the dosing schedule to fit your particular chemistry.
