Flexeril is a "Muscle Relaxer" that is very closely related structurally to amitriptyline (Elavil). It's an AD described as a muscle relaxer. Your doc might give you some if you complain of back pain. You shouldn't have any addiction problems if you stick to the lowest dose that helps and stay with ETD (every third day) dosing. If you don't the stuff won't work but at least every three days you'll wake up feeling good (if it works for you like it does for me).
Phillipa, I would also be interested to know if you get increased anxiety from 5HTP or Whey protein. Have you tried eother of these? I'm looking into Serotonin as a cause of anxiety. A possibility very much overlooked by the medical community.
