Without being one of the technical people who post here,i can tell you one major difference is caffiene along with Dopmamine has very strong effects on NE......dopamine is not always a stimulant,NE is like pure adrenaline which is why some people might not find modfanil too stimulating yet run up a wall with caffiene,modfanil affects a specific area of dopamine with the intentions of not creating a energy like speed,it was or is to be a mild stimulant,caffiene however is in all ur energy drinks etc and is known to increase energy and adreanline.Different strokes for different folks,some people totaly cant tolerate caffiene and they shouldent if it makes them shaky and too stimulated.
