It's been a while guys. I know! I am sorry.
I am doing so much better than I was a year ago this time. I spent 6 months just trying to convince myself that I was *not* going totally insane.
I had horrible racing thoughts, anxiety, weight loss, etc..
I found out I was very sick ( physically) and it explained my symptoms (which some of my symptoms were also physical; fevers, infections, and the weight loss).I have gotten somewhat better physically; still getting 3 B-12 shots a week and having to take constant antifungals, etc..
My asthma has kicked into full gear again ( I have allergies to nearly everything in my region).
Anyway, the only medicine I take now is Ativan.
My dr. put me on for my TMJ/sleep and to stop me from grinding my teeth at night.
I was hesitant at first becuase I had a bad reaction my first time with Ativan but it seems to be fine now.He has me on 1 mg per night but I usually only take 1/2 of one.
The thing I am noticing is that I am SOOOO tired during the day; I mean NO energy.
I don't know if this is a result from my allergies/medicine for that, or my fibromyalgia/Epstein Barr OR if this is from the Ativan.
Does anyone know if that dose would make me this tired during the day?
Next question; Coffee..
I had weaned myself off of it totally but lately (because of the tiredness) I've been drinking 2 cups in the morning.
I notice after my coffee, I feel so much more mental clarity and even a overall sense of " well being" and happiness.
It's a different total change in my mood.
I know it's likely just caffeine but I am curious if there is a med I can take ( talk to my doctor about- he is a good listener and often allows me to try something if I have researched it enough ) that would be similar to this affect?
If coffee effects dopamine (?), would Wellbutrin be a good option?
I definitely need energy; I'm in a part of the country where it's still very rainy and dark out.
Maybe I'm lacking vitamin D. Who know's?Any thoughts on the Ativan being the cause or if there's something I can take that would be similar to coffee?
