Yes. Just be careful of the dose. Too high a concentration of magnesium salts in the gut will cause loose stools. For most people, 300 mg is easily tolerated. Many will tolerate 500 mg.
For optimal uptake, ensure adequate vitamin D intake, at least 2000 IU/day, until the symptoms resolve.

I can't predict how the drug will affect you. It could cause you to be too drowsy to drive safely. It is a tranquilizer drug. You should wait until you don't have to drive, to try it out.
