I have no problem at all, bearing with you. There is not limit to that, okay?
> Hi. Isn't magnesium found naturally in bananas? As in, if I ate a banana or 2 a day that would give me enough?
Bananas are a good source of potassium. I honestly don't know of a good natural source for magnesium. I find that magnesium citrate is a source that suits me best, but just stay clear of magnesium oxide. Any other source is fine. If you take too much (which is a relative term) you may get loose stools. If that happens, reduce you dose by 100 mg, or try splitting it up with different meals. It can make you drowsy, so many people take it just before going to bed at night.
> Also, years ago I took naicin a few times. It always gave me a brain buzz and major flush.
That is niacin's effect, yes. That's why I recommended niacinamide. The amide gives the opposite reaction. It blocks the flush, which is actually caused by histamine. NiacinAMIDE blocks histamine release.
> Are these things totally safe while on all the meds I am on?
> thank you, Thank you.Yes. I'd not have recommended them if there was any risk of adverse reaction. These are nutrients. That doesn't in itself make them safe, but these two are safe nutrients to take with those meds.
You're welcome.
Just so ya know, this thread is likely to end up being moved to a different board, the Alternative board, because it discusses non-medicinal treatment.
