When I went off parnate, cold turkey, which I did, this was definitely a mistake. I was taking a very large dose, which might have exacerbated the whole thing. But still. I precipitated a horrible series of symptoms, which could have been avoided, or at least greatly mitigated, if I had done it slower.Even if it had been a bit unpleasant, it would undoubtedly not have gone over the deep end. I also wanted to get it over with and move on, but there's another thread here, maybe on the withdawal board (?not sure?) that suggests that slower withdrawals resolve more quickly, setting off fewer, and less long term bad effects.
Sometimes there's the toroise and the hare problem, I think.
