I sincerely feel some of ur pain... I dont know where to start... I was severely depressed in first year uni undergrad and went on prozac... it allowed me to get by but it made me have a compulsive mind.. i was obsessed with school anad bodybuilding... for some reason, i think the drugs, i decided to enter pre-med in first year... because of my obsession i got killer marks, 3.87 first and 3.91 second year and finally a 3.86 overall for my undergrad... but i had NO life... i rarely dated any women, never went out, i did nothing but study and lift weights... i soon got accepted into med school like my friends... but when school ran around, i finally got the diagnosis of bipolar and was taken off the srri... i had to take a leave of absence from med school... and i proceeded to try every drug available, including ECT! I'm now 24 and finally on a stable regime... the moral of my story is that i used to feel like u, that i wasted the ebst 4 years of my life... but when u look into it, im sure u learned so much and had a much better time than u currently beleive.. ur thoughts are swayed by ur depression right now... but i think u can take something positive out of this, u now have a real urgency to live... an urgency to do what u want in life, pursue ur dreams... wasted years have a way of making ur current years more valauble... u should read frankl viktor's man's search for meaning... he spent years in concentration camps where every family member of his, but his sister, was killed in the gas chambers... anywayz, sorry for the rant, good luck!
