Tegretol and Trileptal are two different drugs... related but different. Trileptal has the same chemical make up as Tegretol except it has an oxygen atom added to it. This helps it have less side effects than Tegretol. Trileptal is the only mood stabiliser that has ever helped me or that I have been able to tolerate. But if getting off meant my Parnate would work again I would do it. Only slowly.

> Cant tell ya why,but what i can tell you is Tegatrol,you know before they changed its name to trileptal to keep the patent and money was one of the shortest lived combos i tried,i dident like it from day one,and dont think i ever thought twice about trying it again,blah they dident work great for as a team.
