Parnate and Trileptal - why the clash?

Hi

In 2002 I started what I call a miracle drug - parnate. I was so happy that got rid of my depression and that it wasn't known for pooping out.

According to 2 psychopharmacologists, trileptal is believed to be the culprit in reducing Parnate's efficacy on me. Neither of them really explained why. Does anyone here know?

They tried to take me off the Trileptal in the hospital, but I went hypomanic and psychotic. But I think it's because they took me off it so quickly. I would be willing to wean off the trileptal if it meant that Parnate would work for me again.

I hope someone can tell me why trileptal would affect Parnate.
