The benzodiazepines are excellent anti-anxiety agents. I take Xanax myself and it works very well. The one thing you should be aware of is that all benzodiazepines are addictive if you take them daily on a long-term basis (anything over 2 weeks). Withdrawal from them can be very rough if you decide to come off them.
