Hi Bimini,
No, the PET scan didn't show any plasmacytomas or anything abnormal that could place any definative cause of the pain. It makes things terribly difficult for me because it's so severe and hard for the pain management dr and all the other drs i went to to believe me. The pain management dr won't prescribe pain medicines anymore, he said, which terrifies me because i can't live in the pain.
Tomorrow i'm having a nerve block done by him-- so nervous-- it feels that i have no other option.Concentrating on coping skills will be the next thing- i'm trying to look into ways whenever i'm not so depressed about it. You're correct- pain takes a destructive toll on every part of our lives, making us act differently because we hurt so much. The immuniogloblins knocked out my thyroid also, so now i need synthyroid.
Bimini, i'm sorry that there's so many things that are complicating your healing now and hope that you will overcome all of them.
Peace,
kerria
