Hi Panz.
> I have been reading as much as I can find on line about BPD and SI and have seen several people claim that people with BPD or PB should avoid benzos because they can make the symptoms worse (has anyone else read that?)
No, but it makes a lot of sense. One of the hallmarks of BPD is poor impulse control. BZDs are disinhibitory, so they would make it that much harder to control impulses.
I don't know what you have read so far, but it seems to me that either Tegretol or Trileptal in combination with Zyprexa works well to treat BPD, especially if these medications are combined with psychotherapy geared to treat BPD (dialectic behavior therapy, for instance).
