Some of the other meds helped indirectly. OCD is triggered by anxiety, so the meds that were effective for my generalized anxiety disorder helped reduce some of the symptoms. I've been on so many it's hard to say which was best...probably Paxil. Even so, I was not able push myself to go for behavioral therapy. As for the side-effects I experienced taking Anafranil, DRY MOUTH. I can remember being in the hospital and having to use the water fountains excessively. The only other side-effect I can remember is vivid dreams.

I can completely relate to everything you said about your anger. Depakote has helped, but because it does nothing for my depression I'm still very irritable. I take a lot of it out on my mother, which I feel horrible about.
