Hello,
This is my first time posting on this board, or any board for that matter...so I hope I am doing this correctly.
I have been going to a large hospital system here in the Northeast for some time now for ocd. In the past couple of years I have tried most of the SSRI's. Paxil, Zoloft, Effexor, Lexapro. Effexor was the most effective a couple of summers ago, but I thought I could still feel better if I tried something else.
Since that time, every SSRI I take causes so much irritation/anger that I can't stand to be on it.
The physicians mentioned taking Depakote which really has brought down the anger quite a bit. Now they think that I ought to give Wellbutrin a shot.
I will say that I believe there is certainly some depression mixed in with the ocd and that it fluctuates between anger and just felling poorly about everything (little hope of getting better).
Does anyone have any suggestions or similiar expereiences?
Thank you,
Michael
