It's possible, don't be too sure though. Does your psychiatrist agree? SSRIs such as Lexapro sometimes cause anxiety, akathisia (restlessness) and agitation. These symptoms don't necessarily indicate mania or a mixed state. These side effects can occur both in people with bipolar disorder ....and in people without bipolar disorder.
