Hi. As a Parnate newbie myself, I thought I'd let you know that I had afternoon sedation for the first 2-3 weeks (on 40 mg), and then it passed. At the end of week six my doc raised the dosage to 60 mg and I had the sedation again for three days. I also had insomnia pretty bad for the first 3-4 weeks. I'd just started getting some control with my sleeping when up went the dosage and I was sleepless once more: but again, this passed in a couple of days and I'm back to being a partial insomniac now. Everyone has a different experience with Parnate, it seems, but the physical side effects of most ADs almost always like to make their presence felt way before any therapeutic value does. It's week seven for me and in the last one or two weeks I've been starting to feel better than I have for years. I hope it goes well for you. (Chemist, SLS, Ace et al have a lot of specific knowledge about Parnate, I just thought I'd offer you my 'newbie' comments for what they're worth.)
Piquet.
