> Hi There!, I too suffer from Atypical depression, Remeron has been a great drug for me, I take it with Efexor. I find that after talking it I sometimes get an irritating feeling in my feet when seated and it goes away when I lay down & go to sleep. :) It also gives me a little ankle odema. Paradoxically, after about 2 months, Remeron has cured my hypersomnia & my strong desire for an afternoon nap has gone.

Panda, I'm so glad to hear it's been a good med for you. I'm interested to hear you're using remeron with effexor -- and no sexual side effects, huh? That's amazing. I'm taking 30 mg at night, too. What about weight gain -- has it been a big problem? I think that's my only concern right now...I was worried about the "Sedative" effects, too, but as you say, I think I feel more energetic than I did before....I hope this new feeling lasts! I haven't noticed any edema yet, but fluid retention may explain the pain I had in my arm yesterday. And I haven't noticed any effects right after taking it, 'cause I take it in bed right before I go to sleep....So far, so good...
