My ADD Inat. was not affected either, until Adderall 70-80mgs and a PDoc with the courage and authority to perscribe that. I have since been able to come down in dose as i recognize what is needed (or not). Mind, recognition alone has taken over a year - but well worth it.
i am still perturbed about my time and $ wasted on a previous pmhnp who dropped and referred me out with a misdiagnosis (*glad we found that out *whew*) because i wasn't fitting into standard dosage parameters and "wasn't getting better". I've come to learn that not all pdocs know and act on something i'd assumed was in the basic psych. education: that we are unique individuals.
Don't give up yet, dazed. Hope this helps,
Escher
