I lost a good deal of mental sharpness through college, only regaining it when I realized the simplistic but pervasive serotonin hypothesis is faulty--and sought treatment for ADD-related symptoms.

When you say that my case sounds "very familiar", are you saying that you also suffered from some degree of sleep deprivation during college? I think the quality and amount of sleep I get is definitely exacerbating everything. I had to stay up all night on Sunday trying to finish a project and study for exams. As a result, the "fuzzy headed" feeling came back with a vengeance. It has been much less severe lately, but I suspect that is because I've been trying to get more sleep. The mental impairment, however, does not go away.
