In reply to Antidepressants - carcinogens?, posted by Penny on October 28, 2003, at 7:40:54
Penny, I recall this issue being raised in the excellent book, "Listening to Prozac". I greatly understand your concerns. The way I have kind-of taken is, if we only live for say an average of 80 or so years, I'd rather live those years somewhat more content than if I was without medication. I also understand many other medications that people have to take, often for a lifetime, have their carcinogenic risks as well. Never mind the amount of air pollutants, contaminants in our water, and stuff in our food.
That's just my belief anyways.
Best as always,
Jay
