Zyprexa never causes him EPS and actually it has been a wonderful drug in helping him cope, but at the same time yes he did gain weight ALOT 50 lbs in 3 months. He has some weight to lose, but also some inches to grow, he was extremely athletic before with wonderful ability so this is bothersome. I am hoping the abilify works, Good luck to your wife I hope she finds something that works for her.
> All I can say is that Zyprexa caused my wife EPS, and akathisia symptoms. She also gained 35 pounds. Though her doctor then wouldn't admit to any undesirable side effects, a new doctor (and plenty of articles I've read on the web) admit that eventually the weight gain can translate to diabetes, or hyperglicemia.
