A new question--seroquel

I did talk to my dr about ambien and he is increasing my seroquel from 300 to 400mg at night for one week and if needed go to 100mg in am and 400mg at night--I forgot to ask him, could I take the whole 500mg at night since it so sedating? Any answers would be very much appreciated. Thanks
