Thanks for your post Jill. Basically no one I have seen seems to know much about cyclothymia or what to do about it. The psychiatrist has suggested Citalopram which is an anti-depressant. I suppose its the same for dysthymia - there's just been no research done over here.
Did your doctor come up with the diagnosis of cyclothymia, and suggest what you should go on, or did you have to ask for certain drugs? My doctor said if I come up with something which I think would help, he would prescribe it if it is available here and if it isn't addictive. Basically I feel that I have to do my own research in to what I should be taking because none of the professionals seem to know!
