cyproheptadine for SSRI-induced anorgasmia?

Posted by fairnymph on February 5, 2003, at 2:25:33

There is one case report in a scandinavian medical journal...a middle aged man with complete anorgasmia (total inability to orgasm) on citalopram (celexa) was able to orgasm by augmenting with cyproheptadine, which I believe is a serotonin antagonist.

Has anyone tried this? Any idea of dosage? Also, do you think that it would interfere with treatment, i.e. make the SSRI less effective?

Any info/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
