Hi McPac -
I talk on Nardil and the 'scare' on my website a bit - other info on nardil there too - can see at http://www.socialfear.com/
On 'poop out' - I have only very rarely heard of this with an MAOI - and frankly even for any antidepressant except Paxil or the antagonists Remeron and Serzone - I do not hear of this too often. The odds are very very low with an MAOI, IMO.
On the 'scare' - if you are resposible adult and know to avoid other antidepressants and some select meds - ie; you get the basic education and know to follow it - I believe MAOI's are extremely safe. If we are talking about responsible adults treating major problems - I think is basically non-issue IMO. Driving your car 5 miles. Driving to see your Dr. The risk there? Probably way higher than a Nardil risk and taking basic precautions which are quite limited.
