I had hot flashes for over 5 years. It drove me nuts [from age 49]. However, when I took Prozac, it seemed to reduce the hot flashes, though they were less than they had been anyway, I would have to say I had less hot flashes on Prozac. I am generally a cold person by nature [always cold when nobody else is]. A former boyfriend of mine on Effexor sweated all the time, day and night. He was always exhausted and sweating from the Effexor. I can't explain the lightening and lessening of hot flashes for the year I was on Prozac........
