I am currently taking 250 mgs of Seroquel, because I can't take Geodon. I had a reaction to geodon that I had where my tongue swelled and I couldn't talk so I had to stop taking it. The problem with Seroquel is it KNOCKS ME OUT! (not yelling, more of a plea for help.) I will fall asleep at 8:30pm and sleep til 11:30 am the next day. I am taking Adderall and it doesn't affect me at all the next day, I am still completely tired. Kinda like I just drag through my day.
Also, I have been on prozac for about 6 years now. I don't think I am getting anything out it anymore. Can it just stop working? I take the weekly at 180 mgs. Monday, then 90 mgs midweek. My sexlife is basically non exsistant, I have NO desire at all. I also take topamax, which I luckily have no problems with. I feel *for me* the benefits weigh out the side effects, and I have been lucky that they have been mild. I have heard alot of horror stories, but I haven't had them.
Anyway, how do I confront my pdoc about the problems I'm having with my meds? Everytime I've mentioned the prozac problem he either increases it or ignores the fact I said anything. I just started on the Seroquel, I don't know if I haven't given it enough time, maybe its something that will get better? I don't know anything about the drug. He just increased me to the 250 and mentioned that I will be increased again. He did say I could try the Geodon again but I'm afraid to, I really don't like the ER. Another pdoc at this time really isn't the answer, I've seen this one since 95 and I don't want to start over, it would be to hard right now. (to much going on in my life).
Any advice would be much appreciated, I will be calling him on Monday.
Thank you,
