Have had some scary times over the last 9 days at 30mg. I suppose the solution is a no-brainer, reduce the Remeron. Just took a little Klonopin to see if that settles things down. Had to fire the new pdoc today - she insists cognative therapy is the answer, good lord, I have a daughter older than she is.

I have speculated here before about what *mechanism* may have caused it (alpha-2 adrenoreceptor antagonism), but bottom-line I can't take the stuff. Even tiny doses. I think pdocs prescribe to bipolars a lot because it is so good for sleep. Remeron, Buspar, Effexor, and prednisone are the four meds (out of dozens) that I have tried that have made me the most angry and hostile (I nearly lost my job each time on all of those). If I increased the Remeron from 7.5 to 15.0 mg I got *sleep disturbances*.
