Hello,
I tried Reboxetine for about 2-3 months and it didn't seem to help me at all. I have the same symptoms of depression that you have. I've also had no luck at all with the SSRIs.There are several TCAs like Desipramine that work on NE receptors. I'm presently on a trial of Nortriptyline, but it's too early to tell whether it's going to help me or not.
Of course Wellbutrin is another drug to consider.
I was diagnosed last year with inattentive ADD along with Cyclothymia, and was started on stimulants last year. They have helped clear some of the fog and it's easier to focus, but they have done nothing at all for my depressive symptoms including low motivation, apathy etc...
I'm very interested in Atomoxetine. If I'm not mistaken, it was originally developed for depression as Tomoxetine, but later as a drug for ADD. It is supposed to be the first non-stimulant that is very effective for people with ADD. It's a very selective NE reuptake blocker. Anyway, that drug was due to be released this spring, but the FDA is dragging their feet in getting it approved.
