Hi ST,

I've been taking Effexor XR now since November 2001. I started at
37.5mg and then a few months later, I increased to 75mg. As soon as I
increased, I found myself to be very tired, I had to drag my butt around
all day in order to stay awake. I talked to my doctor and asked if I
could increase to 150mg. He agreed, so I finally did. Now it's been a few
months that I've been taking 150mg per day and I've been feeling just fine.
About a week after I increased, I was no longer tired and got most of my energy
back, it feels great.

Now, I also read the part in your post where you asked about the weight loss. To
answer your question, since I've been on Effexor XR, I've actually lost about 30lbs
and haven't gained it yet. I find that while I was on different dosages, my appetite
would either increase or decrease. There are some weeks that I feel like eating
everything that's in the fridge and then there are other weeks where I can eat normally
and not feel like a pig. I've been trying to keep active on a daily basis along with
eating a healthy balance of foods.

I hope this helps you out a little bit and I wish you the best of luck. Keep me posted.

MaKi
