Jay,

I gained some weight while taking Zyprexa. When I augmented it with Topamax I stopped gaining weight. I don't think the topamax causes weight loss, but it causes me to not feel hungry. I'm not sure if the zyprexa induced weight gain was from increase in hunger or slowdown in metabolism. My pdoc claims it is from the hunger.

I switched from Zyprexa to Serzone, another medicine which I gained a lot of medicine in the past on, and this time with Topamax no weight gain.

Geodon is supposedly a good substitute for Zyprexa on the weight gain.
