They haven't said anything official yet, but they interviewed me on the phone and said that if my condition is pre-existing I will be denied benefits. They defined pre-existing as receiving any meds or treatment up to 3 months before starting my job. Well, obviously I have a pre-existing condition and I expect to be denied. My psychiatrist says there is absolutely no reason why I should be denied and was pissed. However, the law is the law and if having a pre-existing condition denies me... She said that I should apply for social security deisability because I should definitely get that, but I'll likely have to appeal that decision as well. Is it wise to hire a lawyer when appealing these decisions? Like I have the money to do that...
All smiles,
