Hi,
Antidepressants such as paxil, zooloft used to help me so much and never gave me suicidal ideas, however, this time round on they have increased whatever suicidal ruminations I had, I think they actually brought them to the fore so they can definately make things worse. As mentioned by the others, Zyprexa has definately helped me, sometimes when I've had a horrendous day I take 10mg and the following day in the afternoon my depression seems to lift, after that I decrease the dose to 5mg. The last time I took Zyprexa was last Thursday night and I have a feeling I'll crash again tomorrow so will need to go back to it.
Although some of the people here don't seem to agree with giving antipsychotic drugs to those who aren't psychotic, it has definately helped me and may be worth you giving it a try, even if its just as a last resort.
