meds and suicide

Aren't meds supposed to stop you from being suicidal? I take 300mg effexor 600mg of neurontin and 50mg of zoloft and I still think about killing myself everyday. I have a therapist and I have a psychiatrist. I like them and I can talk to them when nobody else wants to hear about "it"/ my depression anymore. Its not like I dont still plan for the future and stuff. I am applying to grad school, trying to graduate, I even paid my car insurance until november. But I am still suicidal. Does hypnosis work for depression?
