Effexor and visual problems

I started taking Effexor about six months ago. Due to many side effects I decided to taper off. One of the side effects is, I think, trouble seeing. Major trouble. Suddenly I'm so nearsighted I feel like a mole. I haven't been nearsighted since I was in grade school. I had my prescription for glasses changed last June and I can't believe it could have altered so fast. Does anybody out there have similar problems?
The bad news is I'm only down to 150 Mg. a day. 75 in the AM and 75 in the PM.
