I live in the Chicago suburbs and had the same problem. I couldn't find an affordable pdoc. Finally decided to go to my regular doctor and ask him if he had any bright ideas. He told me to go to my county's Health Dept. I did--and they have counseling on a sliding scale. I'm now seeing a therapist--who's got me set up with a new pdoc also--and all for the low, low price of $4 a session (being the single parent of two kids--one with autism--I am only able to work part-time and am admittedly on the LOW end of things). Just thought this might help though!
