In reply to personality profile, new news to me, posted by JohnX2 on November 10, 2001, at 19:19:21
Thanks for all the kind and ecouraging remarks
and follow ups. I am too skeptical of any
"tests" "labeling" as such.I believe from my own heart my core issues to be
post-traumatic stress
disorder, but a variant not associated anymore
with severe anxiety or nightmares and flashbacks
(which I did have at one point in time), but
something that has morphed into persistant feelings
of emotional numbing, feeling detached, and not
understanding how other people feel. I have on
a few med occasions had these symptoms "lifted" and
it is like my whole world turns around. But it
never sticks, it always poops out.I also have trademark syptoms of dysthymia and
major depression. I have non-textbook symptoms
of hypomania,obsessive-compulsive disorder,ADD.I don't believe in labels either. I met a psycho
therapist who told me I could call myself whatever
I please!
regards,
