According to this personality survey I took:
http://www.4degreez.com/misc/personality_disorder_test.mvI am categorized as "Very High" under both
Borderline and Histrionic Personality disorders.
This is new to me. I've never had a doctor mention
it to me. But I do have some of the traits on the
Borderline such as viewing things in black/white;
mainly people are either on my team or my enemy.Interestingly, while I was researching the biological
underpinnings of PTSD, specifically a breakdown
of the alpha-2 feedback receptor mechanism in the
locus coerulus are of the brain, I also found many
references to Borderline Personality disoder. This is all funny. I have been trying to understand
why I have a funny medication responses, specifically
the development of rapid tolerance. And have found
that the meds that anti-dote this are the novel
nmda-antagonists such as Memantine and NeuroDex (
the research med with a combo dextromethorphan +
quinidine). The NeuroDex is in clinical trials for
"emotional lability". Is this related to Borderline
Personality Disorder and/or Histrionic Personality
Disorders.Lots of disorders for me. No argument their. But
what is the best treatment for these disorders?
I do tend to view people as either "on my side trying
to work with me and help me" or "against me". This
was one of the cardinal symptoms listed under
Borderline Personality Disorder.I should go back through pbabble to understand this
from other threads a little better...Any thoughts from the peanut gallery? Don't say
anything to tick me off, I will dismiss you as "evil"
according to my diagnosis. Just kidding. ;)-john
